the book is awsome it has the whole cinderella story type but has its changes that should make a movie about it

The book was wonderful. I mean wonderful. It's based on Cinderella, a nice fairy tale. The way Gail Carson Levine changed the main character Ella from a girl that did what ever people wanted, to a cursed girl who had to do what ever someone told her to do. It was really nice the way the author changed things in Cinderella around in Ella Enchanted. I really liked the book because it had a girl heroine, something there should be more of.
I don't know how the movie will be, I mean, I wanted to be Ella so bad, but I found out to late. Anne Hathaway looks a little to old for being a 15yr old, and the total evil uncle thing is destroying the book's image. It would have been better if they had stayed true to the book, with out adding anything that hadn't been in the book in the first place.
I loved Ella Enchanted and Gail Carson Levine's other book The Two Princesses of Bamarre. They were both wonderful books, and I'll keep on reading them.(I've guess I've repeated wonderful a couple of times, right?)

Nice well this book does not even have words to explain it. I also agree that they are going to mess up the book by making the movie they should make a movie with a different name. But a message to Gail Carson Levine is too keep on writting like this because you are very good at it and you will change the world and not to let those people ruin youre book its ok just like that. The characters like Ellla, Char and Mandy are people you wished really existed. Thank you very much for witting this book.

I L-O-V-E-D, let me repeat myself.. LOVED, this book! It is the BEST book i have ever, ever read!!! It's a hilarious, romantic twist to Cinderella, my all-time favorite fairy tale! I mean, Gail Carson Levine is only like the best author ever born! Ahh.. I SO wish Char was real! I have totally fallen in love with him! But, the movie? ugghh! What the... I mean, Hugh Dancy (in my opinion) totally fits the part, but Prince Regent Edgar? Who the heck is that? I looked that up on Google, and it said that Prince Regent Edgar was Char's evil uncle! I mean, did it even ONCE mention him in the book? They are TOTALLY ruining that book! Char's evil uncle... yeah right. Whatever. Anyway, I can't wait to see how completely terrible that movie is. Anne Hathaway is okay, i guess... I rated the book 5 out of 5, but that's not my real rating. It's just that 5 was the highest rating available. If I had to give it a grade, I would give it a 300 million %.

I think that this book is possibly the best Cinderella story ever (re)told. The way that Gale Carson wrote this book is amazing- it's so fantastic how Ella is a strong character and not the norm damsel in destress! Cass i can totally agree with you! I can picture the prince perfectly. Hugh Dancy plays the prince in the movie and he is pretty much what i pictured!!! I've read this book at least 54 times.. I HIGHELY recommend it to EVERYONE.
