I absolutely love this book. I like the prospective the author wrote from and his unique style. I'm about 350 pages in and I can't get enough. The characters are incredibly descriptive and the story is vivid. This book is a MUST read!!
BOB

This novel was a good read. It was involving and let you enjoy the struggles and triumph of a rural family. It is a updated "Grapes of Wrath."
Steve Coleman

I loved it, it took me back to my childhood and all the thoughts, secrets and emotions I felt as a child. I have loved all of Grishams books. I have read all of them. A Painted House and A Time To Kill are a tie for my favorite.
Jacob Hudgins

I thoght this was a great novel. The only thing that dissapointed me was the ending. Grisham could have at least told us whether or not Ricky had made it home to marry Libby.

I've read most of Grisham's books and though this extremely veered from his usual novles, I enjoyed it and am anticipating a next book.
Lois

Thoroughly enjoyed this book. Couldn't put it down. Luke isreally refreshing and his grandpa reminds me of my grand mother, who was totally dedicated to her family. I would love to read a sequel about Luke. When can we expect that Mr. Grisham?
