A great book for middle and high school students. This book includes a lot of important issues facing middle and high school students; acceptance by peers, differences, self esteem, and being teased, and peer pressure. This book could creat a lot of discussion among students, and would be great for literature circles.

I love this book! The plot is so well written. It taught me a lot of things about life. You should read it! ^-^
Jamie (10/27/02)

It was a great book! A bit kidish however and short lived. The ending was uncreative but the rest of the book was worth reading! I recommend it to girls 14 and under!

A great story on how the pressures of high school can make you realize what is important, and what isn't.

Stargirl, by Jerri Spinelli was one of the best books I ever read. The plot is in a smalltown in Arizona and the people acted the same way they would in New York City or anyother place in the country. As this book is about the theme of friendship Stargirl Caraway has to face some challenges in life that she can't show her inner personality, until Leo goes out with her and everything changes. I really recommend this book and anyother of Jerri Spinelli's books.
