Hello! I am a 17 year old high school senior. I am not much of a reader and this book was assigned to us in our literature class. After reading this book, I was inspired to read some more books! It touched my heart in a very special way and I wished I could be someone like Stargirl. I recommend this books to young adults like me mainly because of the lessons that can be learned about popularity, nonconformity and true friendship. This book is very easy to read and "un-put downable". I can't find enough words to describe the experience of reading Stargirl. For the people who think that Stargirl was very unrealistic, well that's the main point of the book. It somehow challenges the idea of being "cool", "popular", "cheerleader" and other stereotypical titles. It was too radical for us (young adults) to be able to think outside the box. Stargirl can be a role model to everyone who sometimes feel a little bit different from the others. Stargirl can also be an "eye-opener" to people like Leo Borlock. If there are more Stargirls in this world, it would be a better place to live in. :)

I am a 12 year old and I thought the book was great! I wish there was a "Stargirl" at my school. The book tought me many things
1-People should not care what anyone else thinks of them
2-Even people that are different have feelings
3-Everyone is equal
4-always do what you believe in
I thought the book was great! I loved it!

Stargirl is one of the most true and magical books I have ever read. It really keeps you interested. Stargirl is good for anybody to read, but I think it has a magical way with people who find themselves in her character. Everyone who reads it will want to be more like her and will understand her heartbreaking situation. It is a must read for everybody. Thank You Jerry Spinelli, for letting people understand that being popular isn't everything. You can have a thousand friends and still be lonely and empty inside. You can have two friends and be the happiest person possible. So once again thank you for writing this book and I hope all of you out there decide to pick up "STARGIRL" by Jerry Spinelli very soon, and find yourselves among the pages of this beautiful, heartwarming story of a teenage girl and her quest to become popular and to find out..... what she really wants.

!*~*!*~*I loved this book! i think i taught the readers, meant to be teenagers, not to care what other people think of them. Even though it tells you to always follow your heart, and to be "spur of the moment" I also think that we, as teenagers should set morals for ourselves! I definately recommend this book to all teenagers, in general, and to anyone who feels like they dont fit into the rest of the world! God still loves you, no matter what you wear, do, or say!! ROCK ON!*~*!*~*!
