Hello. I am a 19 year old college student attending Rutgers University. I've read Stargirl several times and each time it's a phenomenal read. Jerry Spinelli has created a character named, Stargirl, who is not the typical teenager in America. She is original, caring and a bit extravagant. Then there is this boy Leo who sees Stargirl for more than what's outside. I suggest Stargirl to any person who is looking for a great book to sit down and relax with. The book also has a great message in it about friendships. That in this world friends will come and go and it will hurt, but when you find true friends, the ones who will always be by your side, it is then that you will feel alive inside. Stargirl is a great book and I suggest it to any and all reading ages.

I think that Stargirl is an awsome book. It could teach a lot of people some lessons and tells you how people feel if they are like Stargirl. This book is very entertaining and is one of the best books I have ever read before.

I think stargirl is bland, boring and girly book. I was given it to read as a school assainment, and i didn't like it. I thought that the descriptions were bland and boring, the plot was weird, and, it didn't make any sense. The plot was confusing and, come on! A girl that has a rat, wears long frilly dresses and plays the ukelele? It doesn't sound right, who'd do that? I think that the characters feelings were not properly described. One of the worst books I've ever read. I was bord on every letter, word, sentence, paragraph, page and chapter. Truly awful.

I thought this book was amazing and it was one of my favorite all-time books. I really like how he made a story about a girl who is very different from everyone else. But still she did her thing and I think Leo missed his chance and it's sad he'll never see her again. Anyone who reads this book will love it. You can just relate to it when sometimes people are not being very nice because you wear something different or act a certain way, but everyone should be themselves and be proud of what they believe in.

I loved this book because just by looking at the cover, I knew that it was dirrerent. I loved it because I felt like I was there. I'd be more than happy to meet the character in real life if she existed. The discription Jerry Spinelli created is so magical and I loved the theme about deserts! I think Leo Borlock was really foolish to miss his chance. He avoided her just because he's putting his popularity at risk. He should have not let the shunning get to him and should have accepted her as she is. I wish there were more books like this for all young adults. I've learnt to be myself and not to change yourself for popularity, it's not worth it. The end was really emoitional, and I was hoping that he would see her again. This is the best book ever written and now that I have read it I miss the character 'Stargirl'.
