This book ROCKS!I don't wanna wait for Eldest! Its a mixture of HarryPotter and Lord of the Rings,it even has a drawn map. This is a tie between my three favorite books(HaryPotter and the Goblet of Fire,Where the Red Fern Grows, and of course this very book,Eragon)
You never know what happens next and it has more than enough action scenes to satisfy me!And to think,he was only fifteen when he wrote this fantastic novel. This is the begining of a series of books that will make history!

i am 13 and i have read salvator, tolkein and many other great books by great others. so any one who says that im to young to have read any good books is wrong.

Eragon is a awesome book. Eragon has a good storyline and enough violence to satisfy me. The charachters were cool and the things they did were even cooler. I think Eragon is a great book!!

Alright i agree almost 100% with all the other 1 star raters. Yeah he obviously put a lot of effort into the book but that effort was merely stealing other authors ideas, characters, worlds etc. Being fifteen and having your book published would be something to commend but his parents published it. The story itself was rather boring, i quit reading it. The plot, if there was one, was horrible. When you know what's going to happen next at every turn you know the book is going to be bad. If you've read any other fantasy books, RA Salvatore being one of my favorites, Paloni's (or however you spell his last name) characters pale in comparison. I recomend for all of you 5 star raters to read any other fantasy book, not including harry potter which is an easy read. Maybe Salvatore's Trilolgies and his Quintet will make you see how bad this book really is.

i didnt kike the way it left you hanging on the end....i shouldve waited to read it untill the second one comes out cuz its drivin me crazy! but i guess thats what authors do, leave ya hangin so ya cant wait to read (and buy...lol) the next one. i agree with many other people though, it was similar to many other books (*cough cough* lord of the *cough* rings *cough*).....i mean come on! when i pictured brom i pictured ian mckellen (the actor that plays gandalf in lotr)! but with all of the books out there, its kind of impossible to be comletely original. i really hope the next book comes out before 2006. (thats when ive heard its coming out. aparently they want to build suspense, well, its working! lol)

i love this book. my friend lent it to me (shes obsessed with dragons) and i put it on my shelf thinking that id read it sometime. well a few days later @ school, i heard some kids talking about it and they said it was really good, so i did what just about n e 1 else would do, i went home, read it, fell in love with it and within a week, i had my own copy. i love the description, the way he puts you right in the middle of the action, the characters arent just what the story is about, they have their own personalities, and i love the way he tossed a little uhh, well, romance i guess, with arya, and you can never guess what is going to happen next....i hope the second book, eldest, comes out soon......as well as the movie.....

I LOVED THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I have only read a few other books that i talked about and read this much! such as, LOTR!!!!!!!!!! i loved those books!!!!!!!!!!! Yes, this book did have some mimicing, but, now-a-days, all books do. its VERY hard to find a completely original book. I read this book for a high school book assigiment, and LOVED it!!!!!!!!! I had only checked it out from the library, but gave it back, and went out and bought it!!!!!!!!! I cant wait for Eldest and Empire!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :)
