Paris in Love: A Memoir
by Eloisa James
Paris in Love (3/28/2012)
I liked this book~a lot. The author transported me to Paris. I will never go there in person but reading this book almost made me smell the French food, yummy. She has a talent for description. The middle of the book got a little travelogish, no matter, I loved it all. Write about Montreal next.
Loose Diamonds: ...and other things I've lost (and found) along the way
by Amy Ephron
loose diamonds (7/28/2011)
This is not a good book. I would not buy nor recommend it to anyone. It is the equivalent of a movie magazine, a me,me, me book.
The Summer Without Men: A Novel
by Siri Hustvedt
The summer without men (4/14/2011)
A great book. This writer has an understanding of the female mind and how we react to not so pleasant situations - most of the time. I think that she did a great job of depicting the feelings of different age groups. I will read this book again.
Bury Your Dead: A Chief Inspector Gamache Novel, #6
by Louise Penny
Bury your Dead (9/7/2010)
I thought this book was well written, lots of dialog that made it easy to know the characters. Quebec City is a delightful place and was portrayed in such a way that made it seem like your were there. It's been years since I was in QC - I enjoyed the time there with Ms. Penny. Let's have more Louise Penny books
Can't Remember What I Forgot: The Good News from the Front Lines of Memory Research
by Sue Halpern
I forgot! (5/17/2008)
This book is much to deep for me. I need several more years of education to understand it. Most of the time I had to reread a few pages to get back on track. I have some educated children and I will pass this book to them. They then can explain it to me.
