Unrealistic Romance
I've loved 99 percent of Arturo Perez-Revertes' books. I've read them all.
But I'm thrown off by the romance of this book. Main characters don't have any redeeming qualities... But the thing that gets me the most is that we have a chain-smoking middle-aged woman, who is aging as gracefully as possible and that, as we all know, is impossible, and very unlikely. Is the author run out of ideas, or are we still exploring and praising sociopathic personalities? Unnecessary drug use.

I managed to get through three quarters of this title, but I'm putting this book down. I'm not interested in how ends.
