Another excellent book by a challenging author!

This book is a real mix of genres, depending on who is narrating. A ghost story, a fantasy, science fiction and a morality tale! What happens if a meteor really does strike the earth? Selected scientists are cryogenically frozen and revived at certain intervals to monitor the survivors of the catastrophe. Generations pass and new societies form-- some based on a single concept taken to extremes.

The author asks you to think about basic concepts--what do you believe? How could it affect the future?
Tough questions like:
When does life begin?
When does social responsibility affect individual members of society?
What is more important, personal issues or society?

An awesome book by a truly great writer!
