A romp in Southern charm and skulduggery
This fun read still has an emotional punch. Flagg is an expert at creating characters one cares about – even the ones that are not very nice! In this outing Flagg joins a “fat” African American, a midget, an ex-beauty queen, and a thoroughly detestable real estate agent to tell a tale of what might have been, what is and what may yet be.
Pathos and hilarity join forces for a romp in Southern charm and dirty deals. Flagg manages to tell a good story without stooping to vulgar language or explicit sex. Written for the adult female audience I STILL DREAM can be enjoyed by all audiences including teens. There is enough here for an interesting book group discussion that might cover family dynamics, faith, integrity, racial harmony, interpersonal relations and much more.
Similar in feel to FRIED GREEN TOMATOES, this book would also make a good movie.

I Still Dream About You is a book you can't put down.
I enjoyed this book so very much. It's fun and warm and surprising. Whenever I thought I knew what was going to happen next I found I was wrong. I just couldn't put it down. Fannie Flagg has never disappointed me. This is another great story.

Another winner!
I have long been a Fannie Flagg fan - I've read her books for years - Coming Attraction was one of my all time favorites. UNTIL I read "I Still Dream About You". I had to put the book down and get control of myself, from laughing, before picking up the book to read it again. The way Fannie Flagg captures the true essence of Southern women just hits the nail on the head. I have recommended this book to everyone I know. I even put it on my status on facebook. Fannie Flagg has been a favorite author of mine for a long time and this book just proves, even more, why!
