I am an adult and I LOVED this book. I actually cried at the end. Very well written. It is really okay to be different. I think this book ought to be required reading.

THis book was one of if not hte best books I've ever read and I think all girls should read it. It is soooooooo inspirational and teaches you to be who you are and not what others want you to be.

I thought that this book was really quite interesting. It gave me both a boost of self-confidence and self-esteem. I rate this boook very highly and reccomend it to both older and younger audiences. Stargirl is very eccentric and peculiar and teaches us of the perils of popularity, courages of nonconformity and thrills of first love.

This book is incredibly realistic...the end depressed me until I read the part about Leo "wondering but not despairing"...I read it in one day...I think I would have left Stargirl an outsider but have her and Leo stayed together over the years, as not quite a happy ending but one that didnt leave Leo alone...as it is, the author did a good job of making it bittersweet....I'll repeat what the others said, if you haven't read it, READ IT, and if you have, i suggest you think about Stargirl's enchanted place...

This book was one of he BEST I've ever read, and I've read plenty of books ! Many of you decide that you don't like the end, but I couldn't figure out what I thought of it ....... finally I've decided that I like it. At first, I thought about the way it leaves you hanging ...... but that is a good thing sometimes. It is sad - I agree, but that is part of the REALITY in the story. It happens all to often in real life! This book helped me get in touch with myself, and I think that everyone should get in touch with their Starperson inside. I just wish that Stargirl was a real girl because she would be my best friend. I loved the way that this book promoted individuality, and I, personally, would love to meet Jerry Spinelli and have a wonderful long talk about this GREAT BOOK !!
