OH MY GOD I LOVE THIS BOOK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!It's the best seriously. If you haven't already, definately do so ASAP! I just can't wait for the second book to come out!!!

Hi I’m 17 and I loved this book it may be somewhat like Harry Potter and LOTR, which to me were rubbish, but it was well written to the extent that when you start to read you are not able to stop. I find this the main trait needed in a book as well as a good plot and interesting characters. Paolini does not talk about one idea for to long he keeps the book moving and leaving the reader guessing. Though he drops many hints along the way about his characters and you are forever thinking the end idea through you are never certain. This is a great book and I disagree with those that believe it childish, I feel it is a matter of personal taste like the fact that I do not like many of the famous writers such as Prachet, Eddings, Tolkien, but love Pierce and Goodkind. You need to read the book to know if you like it or not.

Paolini's first novel is a very nice one on its own, but I think he is only sharpening his skills in Eragon. He scores weak in short-stated foreshadowing* and character development, (I found Murtagh to be a very superficial character) But does a wonderful job in his telling of the back story, details, and his depiction of combat, Along with the exquisite beginning. Also, the world of magic he creates is vivid and believable, along with creative and entertaining. Overall, Eragon is an above average read, and I have a feeling that the whole Inheritance series will be a masterpiece, (And not Paolini's only)
(*I would, however, like to commend the author on the dragon bones fortune telling.)

Eragon is an awesome book. Christoher Paolini makes it very exiting. I recommend it to anyone who likes fantasy ans especially dragons. Hey, Eragon fans! Eldest is coming out in August 2005. I can't wait when it comes out!
