Excellent read. A little unbelievable at times, but certainly gripping and moving. Wonderful journey through human relationships and emotions. Highly recommended.

I could not put this book down. Haunting and sad, but a wonderful story nonetheless. Fantastic

Fabulous, just fabulous

After hearing rave reviews of The Kite Runner and having it on my 'To Be Read' pile for quite some time, I finally took the time to read it. I was expecting a depressing read.

I was wrong. The Kite Runner- while laced with pain, betrayal, disappointment, and loss is a book that, in the end, is full of hope, redemption, and love. I left the book not wanting the story to end and cannot wait for Hosseini's next book in 2006.

Zaheer Kalvert (12/14/04)

This is a great book with a close touch of reality. The character "Aamir" is very well potrayed. Its a great book which gives us an opportunity to learn more about the Afghani culture and the lives of the people in such countries. The books touching, poignant, informative story of the meaning of realtionships: father to son, boy to friend, man to country.
