I just got this book for christmas and I have to say it is the best book i have read in months! I am 15 years old and even though it is a book for adults i would recommend it to all people of my age. We're all being told to stay away from drugs and alcohol but we're not told the effects of addiction or what it takes to get off these things. Frey speaks so honestly about his time in treatment and his addiction I was immediately put off ever taking drugs. Having used no punctuation we feel we are looking into Frey's memories and not just reading book. i have nothing bad to say about this book, it was moving and sad but at the same time funny and it is good to know that just because you're an addict doesn't mean you cant get over it which Frey has proved over the 511 pgs of his book. anyone who doesnt like this book or thinks anything bad about it should (to put it nicely) go stuff themselves Brilliant!

Words cannot begin to describe how much I loved A Million Little Pieces. I do a lot of personal writing on my own, and I was stunned to see someone who wrote in long streams of consciousness, without punctuation, and directly from the heart - just as I do. James Frey has an epic story that touches those who have faced addiction and those who know nothing about it. I will never forget this story. It is something that has stuck with me every day since I read it. Thank you James, for an insanely beautiful piece. -Holly (22)

I was looking for connection to my drug addicted brother and I felt James Frey was able to help me in part with that. Thank you James for writing what must have put you back in a painful past. Thank you for delivering an unconditional love to Lily who never knew love from the moment she was born. Her story, more tragic to me, left me stunned. My anger for her mother and for the manner in which she was defied her entire life was subsided some because of the heart and soul you gave to her. I wish to love my own children stronger, hold them closer and hope for the children in this world who suffer from abuse.

Hi James,
I just want to say that I just finished reading your book and am now recommending it to others to read. I loved the book because it gave an honest account of your life and what it was like for you to go through what you went throught. It was a horrible horrible recovery! I do not believe that I could of gone through what you went through and still survived.
The book also brought out some sad emotions in me because of what you endured in regards to some of the relationships you made.
God Bless you.
You are an excellent writer.... Please continue to write more as I could not be satisfied knowing that I would not be able to ever read more from someone as talented as you.
Thank you, Mary (45 years old)

This is an extreme uncut look into the life of an addict who is so far out that it doesnt seem that there could be a long enough rope to retrieve him. James Frey is an awesome man in my eyes because he not only went through that tragic ordeal but he wrote about it to help others like him. i think that he deserves more than a pat on the back but an award for his writing. I'm just sixteen and still in highschool but his book not only turned me off to drugs and alcohol but turned me on to being open and honest and a different way of looking at things and dealing with life. James Frey, I have but one thing to say, Thanks.
