How would you describe Cat's relationship with Adrian?

How would you describe Cat's relationship with Adrian? What was she hungry for in her relationship with him?

RE: How would you describe Cat's relationship with Adrian?

Cat was putting on weight, she had issues, and Adrian didn't notice a thing. She was looking for acceptance and he just didn't seem to see her on any level but a superfical one. She seemed like the child that tries to keep everyone happy and together. She moved into the second family's life to stay closer to her Dad. But he didn't get that at all. I was happy at the end that he seemed to move into the next level of adulthood (finally) but too bad it took Maya's death and the angst of all the children to push him there.

RE: How would you describe Cat's relationship with Adrian?

I would describe Cat's and Adrian's relationship as very immature. She was supposedly one of his eldest children, but really acted more childish than Pearl, who was at least a decade younger than her. Adrian and her met for lunch weekly, so you would think they would be the closest father/child relationship in the group, but it seemed almost like acquaintances. He was blind to what was going on in her personal life, even what was right in front of his eyes. And she made poor choices for an adult by sending the emails and also involving her much younger siblings in destructive bullying behaviors.
