Sadie Hoagland was born in Ogden, Utah and grew up reading her mother's Nancy Drew books, and rewriting fairy tales. Her work has also appeared in several literary journals, such as Five Points, Alice Blue Review, The Black Herald, South Dakota Review, and the South Carolina Review. She currently teaches writing at the University of Louisiana at Lafayette, and lives in Louisiana with her family.
