About this book

Book Summary

First, Dr. Ernest Drake's Dragonology (2003) was discovered and published to great acclaim. And now, a student's course in dragonology, written by Dr. Drake himself, has come to light. In this illustrated textbook, Dr. Drake guides you though twenty-one lessons that promise to make you an undisputed expert in dragonology!

Comment: This is a very cool book for lovers of Eragon, Harry Potter and the many other recent fantasy novels involving mythical creatures. It's a companion to the original Dragonology, on a smaller scale but with lots of things to open, stickers to stick and essential information for all students of dragonology.

Also highly recommended is Egyptology: Search For The Tomb of Osiris, published in late 2004, which is similar in design to Dragonology. If your children already have these books, you can still score credibility points with them by informing the little darlings that the next book in the series, Wizardology, will be published in Fall this year!

"...entertaining to page through, and for kids who have already plumbed the depths of the latest Harry Potter, the book offers additional diversion, as well as lots of membership cards and shiny (non-period) stickers." - Children's Literature
