Margaret Lawrence has written for film and the theater. She is the author of previous novels, each set in post-Revolutionary War America: Hearts and Bones, -- which was nominated for the Edgar, Agatha, Anthony, and Macavity Awards for Best Novel -- The Burning Bride, and Blood Red Roses.
