About this book

Book Summary

An ex-con member of the Aryan Brotherhood who identifies himself as Tex contacts Burke. Tex is terminally ill, and needs money bad. Tex knows how to get it, but he needs help. Tex tells Burke about the brutal murder of thirteen-year-old Melissa Turnbridge, how she was raped and then buried in the woods, how the murder was never solved, and how the killers are grown up now and all millionaires.

Deep in the dark streets of New York, Burke and his "family" - Mama, Max the Silent, Prof, The Mole, Michelle and Terry - hatch a brilliant plan to bring the three murderers down and walk away with nearly three million dollars. But the people Burke is up against are smart, ruthless, and lethal, and this dangerous undertaking could cost Burke more than he is willing to pay.
