Liberty Jones is a girl from the wrong side of the tracks in Welcome, Texas. But Liberty has dreams and determination that will take her far - if she can keep her wild heart from ruling her mind. Hardy Cates sees Liberty as completely off limits. His own ambitions are going to take him far away from Welcome, and Liberty is a complication he doesn't need. But something magical and potent draws them to one another, in a dangerous attraction that is bigger than both of them. When Hardy leaves town to pursue his plans, Liberty finds herself alone with a young sister to raise. The big city calls and Liberty and her little sister make their way there, despite the obstacles in their path. Soon Liberty finds herself under the spell of a billionaire tycoon named Gage Travis - a sugar daddy one might say. But the relationship goes deeper than people think, and Liberty begins to discover secrets about her own mother's past. And just as Liberty is making the choice of her heart, Hardy comes to town. He's rich, he's powerful, he's more dangerous than before. And he's an enemy of the Travises.
"Though Liberty's plight and redemption are straight out of the soaps and the prose has its trite moments, Kleypas's many readers will root for Liberty, a fiery and likable underdog." - PW.
"Writing with wit, wisdom, and warmth, Kleypas has created a book to treasure." - Booklist.
"Sinfully pleasurable melodrama." - Kirkus Reviews.
