M J Rose takes you on a journey during Imperial Russia at the time of the Russian Revolution. The exploration of the downfall of the aristocracy and all of its wealth is the setting for this book. Two timelines are followed by the characters and their families. The story comes to the United States as immigrants leave this totalitarian country
Their family life is affected and influenced by the new culture they have adopted. Jewels, romance and drive is the focus in this adventure that you can't put down. The quest for the answer to the Last Tiara is truly exciting.

She has learned politics at his knee and carried this ability throughout her life. You will meet many real life political people as well as her immediate friends. She is portrayed as a
hellion, manipulative and a woman who at the end of her long life is remembered as the "Other Washington Monument." What a ride she had and what a book! Don't miss this one.
Manderley Forever

De Rosnay has done incredible research regarding this biography. Her sense of detail regarding DuMaurier's intimate and personal life gives you an insight into why she writes as she does. The book is intriguing, familial, and a look at a woman who had to fight to pursue her dream. Her family and children are given a primary role in this biography. It is interesting and will keep your attention to the very end. It is truly enlightening and a pleasure to read.
