News of the World
by Paulette Jiles
I have found a new author (8/17/2016)
This is my first book by Paulette Jiles. I have found a new author to love. Historical fiction is my favorite genre, but no normally this time period. I was fascinating about the relationship between the characters in the book. Captain Kidd was entertaining and I loved hearing about hi. Throughout the book. This was one of those books that you are thinking about when your not reading it and want to rush home and finish it.

I'm so excited I got to read this and will be recommending it for my book club.
The Secret Language of Stones: A Daughters of La Lune Novel
by M. J. Rose
Not my usual book (4/13/2016)
I chose this book thinking it would be a new and different genre for me. I thought the book started out slowly, and I almost put it down. Around page 110 it sparked my interest to continue reading. The paranormal aspect of the book was very intriguing. This book haunted me long after I finished reading it. I will definitely read other books by this author.
