The Art of Saying Goodbye: A Novel
by Ellyn Bache
Real Women, Real Life (4/14/2011)
Well-written and a realistic portrayal on how women friends and neighbors react when someone close to them is diagnosed with a terminal condition at the prime of their life. Reminds us that knowing your losing someone you have known for a while results in reflecting on how this person has influenced your personal choices and interpersonal relationships even if they were not your best friend or even a close family member.
The Discovery of Jeanne Baret: A Story of Science, the High Seas, and the First Woman to Circumnavigate the Globe
by Glynis Ridley
Boring (1/3/2011)
I couldnt finish this book, I lost interest, I felt like I was reading a highschool textbook.
Little Princes: One Man's Promise to Bring Home the Lost Children of Nepal
by Conor Grennan
The unlikely advocate for the Nepali children (12/1/2010)
Just as in G. Mortenson's book "Three Cups of Tea" this author never set out to devote his entire life to aiding the lost children in Nepal. Connor followed his heart and made an impact in improving children's lives in Nepal and continues to do so with his established foundation. The story is inspirational and well written. The only thing I would of added to the book was actual photos of the area and its people and a map showing where he traveled to find the parents.
The Ghost of Milagro Creek
by Melanie Sumner
Something Different (7/1/2010)
Interesting characters, unusual storyline, a good book to read over a long weekend. I liked the way author used the narrative form in this book.
Handle with Care
by Jodi Picoult
Handle With Care (2/28/2010)
So good I read in a day.
