Lost Luggage
by Jordi Punti
Lost Luggage (9/3/2013)
I really liked this book. The stories of the four Christophers kept me wanting more. I found it helpful to make a list of each Christopher's birth and city. The relationship between Gabriel and the house movers was special. Lost Luggage was a very different, great book. I will read it again soon.
The Woman at the Light: A Novel
by Joanna Brady
The Woman at the Light (6/25/2012)
A great story. From the prologue I was hooked. Emily says "I recall the bitter and the sweet, the grief and the rapture--for in my life, the one cannot be chronicled without the other." And so goes the story. I will recommend this one to my book club.

The Sweetness of Tears: A Novel
by Nafisa Haji
The Sweetness of Tears (3/3/2011)
A wonderful book! A blending of two different worlds--Christian and Muslim. It is just a lovely story. I will recommend it to my book club.
A Cup of Friendship: A Novel
by Deborah Rodriguez
A Cup of Friendship (11/7/2010)
Loved the book! It felt like the author had lived what she had written. Her colorful descriptions of the area and the beautiful fabrics for their clothing came to life for me. The cruelty in the name of religion evoked anger and sympathy for what the women have to endure. I would compare this book favorably with Hosseini's "A Thousand Splendid Suns" and Mortenson's "Three Cups of Tea."
The Swimming Pool
by Holly LeCraw
The Swimming Pool (3/2/2010)
I really liked the book. After the first chapter it was hard to put it down. The relationship between Jed and Marcella took some getting used to. I would like to read from this author again.
