The Kitchen Daughter: A Novel
by Jael McHenry
The Kitchen Daughter (4/26/2011)
The more I read, the more I liked this book. Ginny was a delight and the recipes were very different and added to my enjoyment. I expect this to be a big hit with my book club.

Disappointed (8/9/2010)
Didn't hate it. Didn't love it. I really just didn't care. Disappointed with the ending.

Hard to put down (7/28/2009)
I enjoyed this book from start to finish and hated to see it end. My book club will definitely be glad for my recommendation.
The Air Between Us
by Deborah Johnson
The Air Between Us (2/26/2009)
Growing up in the South during this time (the 50's and 60's), I found this book very enjoyable and eye-opening. I think this book would appeal to others raised during this time that had a very limited understanding of the reasons for the integration conflicts. The plot was well constructed and moved along without time to be bored with any repetition . I would have liked for there to have been more background on most of the characters leading up to the time they all came together. I will recommend this book to my book club.
