Making Toast: A Family Story
by Roger Rosenblatt
Making Toast (11/2/2009)
A lovely memoir about a family that must deal with the sudden death of a beloved daughter. I loved this book from beginning to end. It gave me a clearer understanding of what is important in life. Thank you Mr. Rosenblatt for writing this heartwarming book.
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society
by Mary Ann Shaffer, Annie Barrows
The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society (7/27/2008)
What a lovely story. I enjoyed the letter format and the way the characters were developed. When I came to the last letter, I felt like Juliet. I didn't want to leave the lovely town of Guernsey or the special people that belong to the Literary and Potato Peel Society.
