Look What You Made Me Do: A Novel
by John Lanchester
Great plot and character development (5/21/2026)
This book started out pretty slowly and then quickly picked up the pace. I don't want to give any spoilers, but there's unreliable narrators, amazing plot twists (that actually make sense), fast pacing, and great character development, especially of Kate and Phoebe.

I highly recommend reading this book. I took it with me on a weekend trip and easily finished it that weekend. It's great vacation reading! Part thriller, part mystery, part revenge.
The Take

Amazing literary fiction! (4/13/2026)
I'm going to be honest. I almost decided not to continue with this book in the very beginning, but I'm so glad that I persevered. I honestly think this will be in my top ten books of the year.

You got two points of view throughout the book: a struggling writer and a movie producer. It becomes clear as the book continues that one of the narrators is less reliable.

I really enjoyed so much about this book, but I don't want to include any spoilers
The Insomniacs

Loved this fun read! (4/9/2026)
I really enjoyed reading this book. I'm on vacation this week and it's absolutely a perfect beach book. I loved the found family theme and the pacing was wonderful. It was a crazy and wild ride, but not in a cheesy or campy way. I highly recommend this novel, especially if you've been known to watch murder documentaries.
