This Book Made Me Think of You
by Libby Page
Hallmark Movie Material (11/12/2025)
This Book Made Me Think of You is well-written and the premise is very enticing but it just isn't my cup of tea. Granted, I am not in my 20's or 30's so I am probably not the target audience for this book or genre. I found myself speed reading it after the half way point so I could finish and write this review. If you are a fan of chick lit, you will enjoy and probably shed a few tears.
Next Time Will Be Our Turn
by Jesse Q. Sutanto
Oh my! (10/4/2025)
This is the first book I have read by the author but it will not be my last. Where to start? I will not detail the story of the book itself but rather my response to it. Next Time Will Be Our Turn brought to mind many of the decisions I have made through my life and the results of them that can only be understood in reflection. Granted, I am neither Indonesian nor gay but that doesn't matter when looking at Magnolia's life choices as a whole. We, as women, can all identify with many of the aspects of her journey. The ending brought me to tears for a life that which ultimately, was one well-lived. Please read this. You will not be disappointed.
The Vanishing Place
by Zoë Rankin
Be Prepared! (7/5/2025)
The Vanishing Place by Zoe Rankin took me on a journey through The Bush in Australia which held many secrets including one family who pretty much lives off the grid. The reader gets much insight into the characters and I learned to care about each of them.

There are many twists and turns which held my interest and I was anxious to see how all would get resolved. I appreciate how well a book is written and this author does an excellent job! Thank you to the publisher and BookBrowse for allowing me to read The Vanishing Place and giving this review.
Too Old for This
by Samantha Downing
Are we ever too old?? (5/7/2025)
It's not often that I read a book where the killer is a senior citizen woman whom I actually like! The church-going, bingo playing gray haired grandma is forced to cover up her past life of crime by "coming out of retirement " to kill again. I enjoyed all of the colorful characters who are a part of Lottie's everyday life. Too bad for those who come knocking at her door to expose Lottie's past crimes! I really enjoyed reading and giving my candid review of this book to be released on August 12, 2025.
