The Sister's Curse
by Nicola Solvinic
A Supernatural Thriller (8/13/2025)
I wasn't sure I would enjoy this book, but it ended up being a really fun read. If you're not into reading books about the supernatural / paranormal I could see this book being less enjoyable. The story tries to offer a non-supernatural explanation but it was less convincing. While it is a sequel, I didn't feel out of the loop in reading this one first, but it did make me want to read The Hunter's Daughter. I think it would make a great movie!
Beast of the North Woods: Monster Hunter Mysteries #3
by Annelise Ryan
A surprising mystery (11/3/2024)
I enjoyed The Beast of the North Woods. It had some fairly significant twists that were a pleasant surprise, but I found certain subplots entered the book relatively late, and I would've appreciated more (real) hints along the way, but that's my preference. Anyone who lives in / appreciates the Midwest will appreciate the references dropped throughout the book.
