Three Seconds
I loved this book and am fast becoming a fan of Swedish mystery authors. After reading this book, I have decided to read other available books in print in the US from this team.
The book gets one involved immediately and is very fast paced. There are many things going on - drama, conspiracy, and detective work to name a few. I especially liked the information regarding the justice system in Sweden and the use of informants.
The read of this book is somewhat demanding which is why I gave it 4 stars - actually I would give it 4.5. I have already recommended this book to my mystery lover friends.

Gripping Page Turner
Wow! I just couldn't put this one down! Intelligent, intriguing--and even better, I didn't even guess the end. The characters are well drawn and realistic. Would love to read more by these authors!

Three Seconds - A Wild, Satisfying Ride
The book took hold from the first page and didn’t let go until the last line. At the heart of the book are the well-drawn and very gripping characters including Piet Hoffman, an ex-con and former military man caught up in an intrigue that would have made a lesser man a pawn. Then we have Ewert Grens. Not having read any of the earlier Roslund & Hellstrom books, I had not yet made his acquaintance but definitely plan to go back and get to know him in the earlier books. We pick up at a particular painful part of his life with the passing of his wife. With both characters, we experience personal redemption as well as vanquishing of others whose self-serving motivations have gone unchecked for a very long time. This was an intricate, sophisticated plot, fantastic pacing and a very satisfying close. Wonderful!

Three Seconds
This was a great thriller. While there is a fair bit of action the book seems to me to be more of a psychological thriller. The book begins with a drug deal gone wrong with an informant.
I now know this is part of a series, and that is why some of Grens' back story is lost. I plan on finding the other English published books as Grens and Wilson both interest me as characters.

A Good Thriller
You need to stick with this one and you will be rewarded. I almost stopped reading when Piet entered prison expecting gratuitous violence; but then the action began. Good tension is created as flawed and realistic characters expose corruption and seek to find answers. A satisfying ending.

Three Seconds
This was one of those books, you want to know how it ends, but you don't want it to end.
A book of fiction based on fact, about the prison drug trade in Sweden. It really pulls you in, telling the story of a man who started as a bad guy and then became a husband and father. He must hide what he does, but regrets the lies he must tell his family. He's torn between finishing what he started and love for his wife and sons.
The detective, trying to solve the mystery, isn't much of a hero. As the character evolves, you want him to succeed in his search for the truth.
The author makes his characters come to life. A really good book for lovers of crime fiction.

Three Seconds
Authors Anders Roslund and Borge Hellstrom have written a book, Three Seconds, of an amazing adventure involving "good" guys and "bad" guys, police and criminals, who don't necessarily fall into the assumed "correct category". The entangled plot will keep you on the edge from the beginning to the end. This book is excellent - I highly recommend it to all BookBrowse readers.

Three Seconds
This is a really good read that is hard to put down once you start it ! There are more plot twists and turns than the back alleys of any major city !I liked how the characters were developed and how I kept changing my mind about them as the story progressed. I can see why this is an award winning book. I will definitely look for more works by these authors.
