Wishing for more..
I would actually rate this more like a 4.5. The concept for the storyline is unique and engaging, but it took a bit to get into the characters. Once I did, I was hooked. I teetered somewhere between tears and quiet chuckles the entire book. Wishing there were a few more chapters of this one and anxiously awaiting more from this author.

Dandelion is Wonderful!
Dandelion is Dead is a super engaging, deeply emotional story that wonderfully balances romance, humor, and heartbreak. It's witty and it can be emotionally devastating, as it explores loss and love and family, and the lies we tell ourselves to keep going, to keep living. I enjoyed it very much.

Dandelion is Dead
A unique love story and so much more. Poppy is mourning her sister Dandelion's recent death and happens upon her dating app account. She contacts a match as her sibling and the adventure ensues. Not to mention that Poppy already has a long term boyfriend at home. As she muddles through her grief, she gets to know Jake, a sweet guy who made a mistake in his last relationship that led to divorce. Poppy and Jake learn as much about themselves as they learn about each other. A complicated series of events leads to humor and self reflection in this lovely story.

Whirlwind Read
A quirky, interesting and fun book, "Dandelion is Dead" explores an eclectic group of topics. People grieve and mourn loss in different ways but can grieving and mourning be taken too far? With at least a dozen characters, all manner of relationships-siblings, ex-spouses, parents, children, coworkers and new love-are presented for reader to journey. It's a whirlwind read to be enjoyed!

Will Dandelion Die
A story that will leave you wondering at any points. The characters are you unique and in one instance while dead, Dandelion , continues to have a role in the plot. On one hand the story is about the role loneliness has on people behavior. On the other it is about fragile relationships and the difficulty of maintaining them. It is a story about the need for forgiveness in any relationship. All of the characters have some contact with Dandelion and have been affected. It is a story of the impact the past has on the present and possible futures. I could not put the book down because of the plot and a need to get to the conclusion. The book is well written and reflects the author's well developed imagination. I recomend this book to mystery readers; especially those seeking book that is different. The question is if and when does Dandelion die.

Unique Relationship Premise
The story had a mixture of humor while navigating romantic relationships and contending with grief both old and new. While I was rooting for the characters, if it was real life, I am not sure all the lies and misunderstandings that occurred would bode well for a long-term relationship. However, I did enjoy the story, characters, and all the highs and lows that Poppy and Jake went through to find their way forward.

Dandelion is dead
Rosie Storey's DANDELION IS DEAD is chaotic, tragic, raw, and funny. What makes it special is the rollercoaster of emotions filled with contradictions. Poppy is grieving the loss of her sister, Dandelion, and clinging to her partner in an unfulfilling relationship. As an escape, she pretends to be Dandelion on a dating app, meeting Jake, who is newly divorced and spending weekends with his son, Billy. When Dandelion and Jake meet, something clicks.
The story is told in three parts: The Lie, More Lies, and The Truth. Poppy and Jake, both imperfect and flawed, tell their side of the story, and all the characters are rich and unforgettable. Even though the story starts out slowly, it picks up nicely, with secrets, trauma, and a complex, emotionally rich narrative that is unwilling to follow a straight line. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I believe it would make a great selection for a book club.
Thank you to BookBrowse, NetGalley, and Berkley Publishing Group for the advanced reader's copy in exchange for an honest review. And thank you, Rosie Storey, for this delightful and pleasantly surprising debut.

Dandelion is Dead
Poppy Greene can't seem to move on after the unexpected death of her older sister Dandelion. Even now, she feels like she's still living in Dandelion's shadow. How can she live without the sister she can't imagine living without?
Dandelion is Dead boldly confronts themes like grief, love, loss, lies, and the accompanying complexities with honesty and grace. In turns, funny, witty, and wise it fearlessly allows for all the messy emotions.
