it started off great, with the right amount of suspense, but the ending ruined it. The story had a lot of potential, too bad those possibilities were never explored.

It's strange to say. I couldn't put the book down the whole time I was reading it. I enjoyed hearing the vivid descriptions of the South, and the cat and mouse games, but there was something missing towards the end. What was the message Grisham was going for?that you can't always win and fly planes the rest of your life? It's safe to say that I was pretty disappointed. Why couldn't it have been like the firm!

The Summans is a pretty well written book. I got hooked from the start, especially sice the main character is from Charlottesville, va, my hometown. I like the fact that John grisham creates suspence. He never lets the reader know who the bad guy is until the very end. I first started reading John Grishams books in eight grade when I picked up my dad's copy of the firm. Coming from reading some boring books from school, the book was awesome. I have read most of his books, ar at least all the copies at the library and was excited when I was handed The Summans. I highly recommend this book to be read, regardless if its a rainy day or not.

i liked the book at first but it did not deliver the ending i had hoped. I love reading Grisham's novels and have in fact read many and this was no where near as good as some of his others.

ive never read grisham before or maybe its because im only 18, but i thought it was a very well written book. great details and i couldnt put it down. it definetly incouraged me to read more of his novels.

I was hooked from the beginning-I couldn't wait to continue reading the book after I put it down for the night. It kept me at the edge of my seat and the ending was fantastic-unexpected, unlike the endings in so many other books!!

I savour John Grishams writing in, this one. And I savour the characters and narative. The plot flow is sublime. The story transforms my world to the world of Ray Atlee. I ponder and puruse the twists and turns, before, during and, after they occur.

Intricately told with enough twists and turns to keep one turning the pages. Great characterization and descriptions of southern Mississippi. Vintage Grisham.
