I am 16 and after I read this book for the first time, it totally changed my life. I look at situations differently now. I have taken what the author Sean Covey has told his readers and put it to use. It's not another self-help book that tries to tell the reader how to become the perfect little angel. This book tells you how it is and can help you in many areas of your life and it is truly a must have!

I had finished the book and it was incredibly inspiring. I was having a great day then I got online to chat with my friends. At first one of my friends wanted me to talk to this guy who was being really annoying lately and pretend to be somebody from Canada. It started out fun and I thought that I should try the habits. I tried this thing called mirroring where you repeat what they say in your own words so you understand the situation. This completely opened up this guy and I was amazed at how well it worked.

I found out that his parents are getting a divorce and he is having a rough time and his sister is a bit too young to really talk to. He really looked up to my friend as a big brother to help him out so I talked to my friend and using what I learned in the book I told him the situation. He then talked to this poor kid and I feel so great for repairing a friendship that has been existing for years but was forgotten when hardships came along.

It felt so great when they both thanked me and I realized how amazing this book was. If that took a half of an hour, imagine what I could do in a lifetime if I lived the habits! This book has spurred a great interest in psychology so now I may know what I want to do with my life. Sure it sounds cheesy, but it changed my 13 year old life!

I am a 25 year old high school teacher, and I used this book with my ninth through 12th graders. They thanked me for introducing this book to them, and many of them commented that it is one of very few books that they have both enjoyed and learned something from. One student's comment, "Most books for teens either lecture you or entertain you. It is rare that you find one that does both."
