I pretty much liked the book, but I don't agree with what he says we should center our life on. I think if we used the bible as our guideline book and we centered our lives on God rather than what the world or this book says we should then the world would be a much better place.

I think that the book 7 habits of Highly Effective Teens has helped me. Other teens should read this book. It talks about what teens go threw and helps you with the struggles.

Trying to hard
I have had to read this book for two different High School classes. I approached it with an open mind, hoping it would give me some new advice (as with most teens I procrastinate, get into things I probably shouldn't, and generally waste my time). I was sadly disappointed. I was 16 the first time I read this book, and after the first chapter I realized the book is probably more appropriate for a young child. In making this book "suited for teens" the other has over simplified the topics, used childish humor, and created boring repetition. I found very little new information in the book after the first introductory chapters. In my opinion the author has tried to hard to make this book interesting to teens, and has diluted the point. If you are going to make a book to help teens become adults, write an adult book, not a cheezy picture book.

Blech
Being a teen myself, I read this book during school, thinking it would make me, well, more effective. Man was I wrong. Not only was it boring, it only went through things I already know, like don't drink, or don't get obsessed with your boyfriend. So if you are a teen who likes books that are actually good to read, don't read this book!

I thought " The 7 Habits of Highly Effective Teens" helped but only in the slightest. I had a tough time getting into the book, it had a lot of stories but in our lives there is so much more then orginization and thinking about our consequences. Of course it is important to have these GENERAL concepts in our minds but to base our lives around it? And i think to understand teenagers you have to be one, times change and so do problems we have to overcome. The book would have better suited teenagers if it had been written BY teenagers not an adult looking back at his accomplishments. Im just heading into 9th grade and its tough enough to handle the change but to have a GUIDE to living is a little intense.

I really don't ever wanna read this again.
I honestly do not like this book whatsoever, Why? I just don't. There's no excitement I find reading this. might be "educational" but I cant find anything I'd actually use in this book in the real world, maybe controlling my anger but nothing more, It's just telling us what to do with our lives.

relates succeeding to christianity.
i don't know if it's just me, but i found this book to almost push christianity onto the readers and found Sean to be insensitive about some touchy subjects. i hate this book and don't think it should be taught in english class.

This book is horrible
Required reading for entering 9th grade. The book doesn't help AT ALL.
