I'm 18 years old and in year 12. At first I didn't think Harry Potter would be as good as it is, so I held off reading the book until we had to read it in English. When I finished the book, I went out and bought myself and my younger sister a copy of both the first and second book in the series. I found it really enjoyable with lots of adventure and mystery. Nothing can beat the work of Rowling in 20th century Children's Literature that's for sure.
Well done Rowling, look forward to a new series of books.

I have read this book four times and the other three, three times. I found that everytime I read the books they just got better and better.

I am a 39 year old mother of two small boys. We took our 5 year old to see the movie Sorcerer's Stone. I was immediatly addicted, more so than my son! We went to the local library and have checked out J. K. Rowlings Secrets of the Chamber and Prisoner of Azkaban and my son and I lay on the living room floor and listen to the tapes together. I believe that I'm more addicted to Harry Potter than my son, and he listens to be with me! I'll take it any way I can get it.
A word of causion though. Five year olds can not always distinguish between fact and fantasy, be very careful to explain details to children if you allow them to read/listen to Harry Potter. The positive is that it has brought my son and I close together for extended periods of time, and his imagination has taken off!

Hi! i just wanna say that i love harry potter! i'm addicted to it. at first i admit that i began to read the chamber of secrets so i thought that harry potter literally sucked. but then my teacher told me to try the first book so i did. and i was hooked. i really wanna thank mrs.rowling for taking the time to write these books for her loyal fans and for her own accomplishments. oh yeah ! anyone who has the book harry potter and the goblet of fire? hook me up!!
