I was fortunate to have read the book A Child Called "It" first. I know that there are not a lot of people who had heard that there was a book before The Lost Boy. I feel very lucky that I did. It was an excellent book for someone who hates to read. Within the first few pages I was locked in and I could not put the book down I finished the first book the day that I got it. But it wasnt enough for me. I had to know more I had to find out what happend to the poor little boy whos mother was so awful to him. Then I found the sequil and now I can not put that down The Lost Boy is an excellent description of what life as a foster child is like. In fact I have it sitting next to me right now and after I am done with this I will finish reading it. I just wanted to say that David J. Pelzer is more than just a man and he was more than just a boy. He is a being that was set here on this earth to make known to the world that things like this do happen in our society and we can not go on forever thinking that they dont. He was givin the courage and strength to make that known and I know that myself as well as hundreds of other kids across the world are thankful for making the secret known.

I READ ALL THREE BOOKS PLUS SOME OF THE PEOPLE THAT I WORK WITH THEY, EVEN READ ALL THREE BOOKS ALSO. SOME OF US WOULD LIKE TO KNOW,IF THERE'S GOING TO BE A MOVE OUT ON THE BOOKS. SOME OF US WORK,THIRD SHIFT AT BURGER KING. I WOULD LIKE TO MEET DAVID, AND TALK WITH HIM ABOUT WANT HAS HAPPENED IN MY FAMILY. I READ THE LOST BOY FIRST, BECAUSE I DID'NT KNOW THERE WAS OTHER BOOKS, INTILL LATER,I REALLY IN JOYED READING THE THREE BOOKS. IF DAVID HAS ANY OTHER BOOKS I WOULD LIKE TO KNOW. I DON'T USALLY READ,BUT I REALLY LIKED READING THIS BOOKS. I WOULD LIKE TO HEAR FROM HIM IF I COULD. FROM CINDIE

this book was not as good as " A child called it" i still enjoyed the reading, and Dave Palzer writeing style. they are both amazing books, witch make you feel sympathy for him. This book seemed to have a longer drawn out second half. I was still able to finish reading in feeling sorry. Dave is a wonderful writer.

good book...i deep down dont like reading but i really liked this book

I feel this is a good book but i feel the first one hard more power.

it thought that this was a good book, but at times it seemed to get a little boring, and seemed like it could not keep me intersted

i think that while this book is a truly inspirational read, the use of language and syntax is poor, as any other writers may agree with me.

While I am sympathetic if even half of the terrible things happened to Dave Pelzer, I nevertheless lost interest in the book before the half way point, though I DID read it to the end.

In my opinion, whoever advised Dave gave him poor advice as the child's voice is, for the most part, not an "authentic voice" and things like calling his mother "bitch" for a kid of that age doesnt ring true either FOR ME.

And despite the promised "trilogy" there are simply too many unanswered questions in the first book and, I certainly have no interest in looking out for a second or third...

Child abuse is a serious problem and every bit of consciousness-raising helps so I will leave ti at that...
