After I read yiour book I changed a lot of things in my life including the way I acted towards my parents. After reading this book I realized how good I had it. It also showed me not to take anything for granted. I thank you for writting this book and I am sure it will touch the hearts of many more.

Dear Mr. Pelzer,
It is my belief that you are an angel, sent by God. To show people, that for those who truly believe, nothing in life is an obstacle. Your story has brought tears to my eyes and a pain in my heart and when I look at my children now, it is with such unconditional love as to make me cry. Look upon your life as an honor and a privilege, because of it you are able to touch so many people in such a deeply personal way. Few can say that. I would love to some day look into your eyes, shake your hand, and thank you for inviting people to glimpse at the harsh realities that really do exist, and giving them no excuse not to do something. You are amazing

This is a heart touching book. It is a book that will make you think of how lucky some people really are. This made me want to read the next book 'The Lost Boy'.

The book A Child Called "It" was a heart warming and painfull site to visiualize and the reality of the story of this Brave man, Dave, is the best thing that a person of his level of courage could be rewarded with, the right to tell his story to the world. I can't wait to read the rest of his story. I use to think that my parents were to hard on me when I did do wrong, but after reading this book my parents were only showing me love. Unlike his mother, my mothers actions toward me were NOTHING like this. In my world not letting me go out on a Friday night was a nitemare, but Dave Pelzer lived one. I have much respect to you Mr. Dave Pelzer for showing me the love that my mother has for me and not to take it for grant. I believe that you wife and son are very lucky to be bless to have you in there lives. I would also like to take this time to thank Michael (you know who you are) another surviver (that I know personaly) and thank him for also showing me now blessed that I am, and i pray to God that you become the man that I marry or find a man just like you two. God has blessed the earth with men/people such as your selves you guys are the real SURVIVERS

As a foster carer for damaged children I found all three books riveting. They have helped me realise that there is no depth that sin in this world does not reach and I thank God for my Saviour the Lord Jesus Christ for His atoning death on the cross and for the hope Dave Pelzer instills in my heart for the children I try to help and heal by God's Grace.

I thank Dave for his honesty and incredible bravery in 'going public' about the abuse he suffered and that he and Marsha found each other is wonderful.

The books give a rare insight to the mind of abused children and I feel all prospective foster carers would benefit from reading them.

Our society needs to be aware that these things happen and what better way than from a survivor who can give such a balanced view.

It is a very good book. I've read all of the books so far and all of them are very good

i give this book 5 out of 5 because dave pelzer has had a really cruel childhood and he freely talked about it.
