Dave,
i loved reading your book A Child Called It. i could not put it down or stop crying through the entire book. the story is great but very sad. i don`t know how any child could be as strong as you and make it though everything you were put through at such a young age. when i read the book it makes me realize how lucky i am to have the family and life that i do. i can not wait untill i get the second and third book. i am such a fan of yours and only after one book. Thank you dear for sharing your story with the world. you are truly an increadible person and my hero.
yours truly,
samantha

Dave, Your book was really good and i enjoyed reading it. I couldn't put the book down at all.I dont even like reading but I read the first one in like an hour and the 2nd took a little longer though.and it really inspired me.I cried in that book and somtimes was happy. But there is one thing i dont get!what was the whole story about how you were rescued cause in each book it seems like it is a different story and i got really confused but other wise you answered all my questions in it.Im never going to forget that story.I didnt know a child could survive through all that, have a possitive out come, and i loved how you never gave up.There so much i want to ask.I truley thought your book was incredible!!!

DEAR DAVE PELZER
YOUR BOOK REALLY TOUCHED ME DEEPLY. I WENT THROUGH SIMILAR THINGS, LIKE YOU. MY GRANDMOTHER HIT ME WITH ANYTHING SHE COULD GET HER HANDS ON. I GOT HIT WITH A BELT, TELEPHONE, STEEL POLE, WOODEN STICK, AND BURNT BY THE STOVE. SHE SAID A LOT OF MEAN THINGS TO ME. I FELT YOUR PAIN A LOT. YOU HAVE BEEN BLESSED BY GOD.THANK YOU FOR THE STORY.

Dear Mr. Pelzer,
I really enjoyed reading your books. They inspired me alot! It sometimes made me cry and it sometimes made me really happy. I love the way that you love your son so much. I know what I've heard that when your parents get a divorce that it influences their kids life alot. You were so determined not to become like your parents. And to never treat your kids like you were treated. Thank you.
Sincerely,
Jessica Rondeau

Dear Mr. Pelzer-

I thought that your book was a very complelling book. To think that somone could turn their life around like that is amazing. You are a very respectful man. You made sure that you knew what you wanted and that nothing was going to stop you. After what you have done with your life, no one would have ever known that you went through something that tragic in your younger life.
Missy Buckner

Your book gives me hope that their are people out there that are willing to fight for something that they feel is right. keep doing what your doing because no one can stop you but you. I hope it will open some minds out there that it is never okay to hit a child.
