I dont normally read much...but A child called It caught my eye at a friends house and i borrowed it ..that was last sunday...i read it that day..couldnt put it down...on monday i was in town searching for the other two...wanted to know how could he survive all that pain and torture and still come out as strong as he has...i bought both books on monday it is now thursday and i have read both....each book making me see things differently and each book making me cry for different reasons....i was so pleased to read in A man called Dave the closeness he has with his own son...and the love he has eventually found in Marsha...he is one man who deserves some love in his life.....such an inspiration to a lot of people...i send him all my love...and wish them all years and years of happiness.

I have just finished A child called it.....i was beaten by my stepmum and ended up in care...but i suffered nothing compared to Dave Pelzer....i have a son who thinks i am strict sometime...ive told him to read this to see what some children even in this day and age go through and survive....i think that was the nicest bit about the book...was that he survived all the horrendous things done to him...im now on a mission to get the second book..living here inside my family..it is heartbreaking to know that kids actually do go through this abuse....we all say if only we could do something to help.....but most never do...to come out of all that and become the man he is today....proves he is a special person....my thoughts go out to him as he has shown people an insight as to what does go on in our world today

I read all three books and was amazed at all three. I could not help but want to jump through the book and rescue him myself. For a child to go through what Dave went through is just unreal. God bless you Dave! I think I speak for so many when I say you are truly a hero and a gift from God. Everybody should read these books. They don't just teach you how awful child abuse is, it teaches you about a childs love, and will to survive. I have learned so much from you Mr. Pelzer. Thank you. Big hug to you Dave!

I read the first book, "a boy called it." It was amazing in all my life I didn't read a book so sad, and the way her mom treat dave. I recommend these book to all people. Once you get in one of the books you would not stop.

His books are really inspiring, right now I am reading The Lost Boy, and I can hardly put it down. These are the kind of books that you can get into, and that you feel like you're actually there with him. It's really cool and scary!!!

I thought it was amazing the way he never gave up. He always tried his best in everything that did. I'm very happy for him that it all turned out for the best. I recomend this and his first two books to everyone.
