Wow , I read you book . A child called it . It move in so many ways. I was turned over to the state when i was 3 month old. My mother was a hooker and could not take care of me. she drank and did drugs . So i went with out . The said when i was turned over i was very thin . That i was not healty at all.
I was told yrs later that my mother had six kids . All different fathers. I still can't believe that your mother single you out like that.

She has some issues that she needed help with. I am sorry that you were treated that way . No one deserve that treatment. Oprahy had a thing about how bad kids are being abuse on tv once . It blew my mind ... Than you for sharing your story . It really move me. I am going to go and get the rest of the books to read soon.

Dear Dave this storie was hte most captavatingm thing I ever hesrd of. I am so gald that you finnaly have a chance to live life as it suppose to be. I feel hatred to your mother even if I don't know her as a person. In my heart I feel that she was a cold hearted woman.
When she treid to expalin to you why I am glad you at least ried to fight back by calling her a bit** she deserved it so dont ever feel sorry what you done. When I first got interested in this book it was at school in the 7 grade and now I'm on A Man Named DAVE. I will respect you forever cause knowing me I would of gave up and died thank you for really proving you can make it through the hard times

I am just about done with "A Child Called It" and it is so heart breaking. I never imagined anybody could go through such a thing. I'm dying to get done so I can read the other books. I am so sorry for what you went through. I feel as though I could jump right in and save you. It's so sad to know what goes on in the world today. Thank you so much for speaking your feelings. It has really inspired me.

Hey Dave. I love your books from "A Child Called It" to "A Man Named Dave". Your story really amazed me. I never new someone could be treat in such a bad way. My mom is also a foster parent and she was happy that i was reading your book so i can see why her job is so important. Well kepp of the good work!!!!

awsome book dave it brong tears to my eyes

Hi my name is Mallory and I'm 17-years-old and I would like to thank David for writing the books of which he has written. Since his first book came out I looked at it and frowned and said a little boy named it? I read the book that night and cryed and cryed hoping that the boy in the story would be ok. At points of the story I wish that I could of saved David from his mother and just hold him and tell him that everything would be great. When I read the second book I also cryed. I couldn't believe the things that his mother did to him. I was proud of him though because I would never be as strong as he is. I read the third book and planning to buy any other books he writes because I feel as if he has changed my life in many ways. I have learned to not make fun of people even if it's my closest friends. I never had anyways but even when I see someone down I say hi and smile to see if I can make their day better is some way or another. I give the best of luck to David, Marsha, and Steven. I hope that everything turned out for the better for them and the only thing that I wish is that I could of been there for him. I have been volunteering at hosiptals and in the future I plan to be a RN or Doctor so that I can help people that need to be. I love you David. I don't know how I can but some how in my heart I feel for you. I feel bad of all you had to go through and I wish that your mom didn't do that to you. I'm also very proud because you became a responsible man and inspires lots of people.
