Amazing novel, Chris has touched my heart. You can learn alot from this book and how he survived with almost nothin. I wonder how chris would react if he knew someone made a book about himself! Everyone who likes the outdoors or wants to take a adventure like Chirs should read it!

I have read the book Into the Wild by Jon Krakauer. The book nis about a brave, yet foolish, recent college grad. He travels through north america meeting new people and living off the land. Nature which he had come to love later gets the best of him as he later dies in the back countries of Alaska.
The book was writin well, and pretty easy to read. He didn't use uncommon termanolgy and he explained situation well enough to understand.
I would probably recommend this book to others. I dont personally like to read but this book seemed to keep me interested and eagerly turning the next page.

This book is way boring! The writing keeps jumping from his Jon's life and Chris's. He just should have stuck to the story!

The book was both a great adventure and a good read. One of the greatest aspects of Jon Krakauer's writing technique was the vicarous experience one can have. At times it even sent a chill down my spine. The derelict bus in which Chris McCandless's body was found gave me a feeling of timeless mystery. Despite whether Chris McCandless was crazy or sane, you have to give him credit for surviving in the wilderness for as long as he did without the proper gear.

I personally think Chris McCandless was looking for something, possibly himself. As for Jon Krakauer I feel he did the best that he could in the reseach of this book. Even though he didn't really find out more about the conflict between Chris McCandless and his father there is some information that even the best reporter can't uncover, information that will not be discovered and in some ways it is probably for the best.

I give Into The Wild a four out of five. I wanted to give it a four and a half but the website rating would not allow it. There is definitly a reason it was a national bestseller. I only hope Jon Krakauer has a follow-up on this book.

The book Into The Wild is about a young man who go's on an edventure. Mc Candless decides, upon his graduation from collage, to leave his family and give all his money to a chairty. Mc Candless decides to go to the Western part of the United States to explore and discover new things. After all his adventures he lands him self in Alaska where he was found dead in a bus.
I'm not that good at reading and understanding. I personally diden't like tthis book because I thought that it jumped around a lot. Into The Wild is a hard book to get into and follow. the only reason that I attempted to read this is because it was assinged in class. I tried hard but only got to page 57.
I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone who has trouble understanding or can't read very well. Don't take my word for it. Read it for yourself.

Krakauer's book Into the Wild was about Chris McCandless. Chris had just graduated college and had everything going for him. But just leaves it all behind to travel around America with almost nothing.
I really enjoyed this book. I abmired Chris for just picking up a leaving everything to travel around. The way Krakauer wrote this book was also really enjoyable. He added stories of people who had experiences like Chris's. And told the reader what happened to Chris first, then explained how he ened up dead in an abandoned bus near Mt. McKinley.
I would deinitly recommend this book to anyone, especially those who where thinking about taking off like Chris. This book really makes you think that you aren't indesturctiable.

Krakauer's Into the Wild was a pretty good book. I usually don't like to read and it's hard to get my attention but , Krakauer did it. It was amazing to read about how far chris went on just a few dollars here and there. Going to Alaska would be fun but, I can't believe he went without knowing the dangers and how big a of risk it would be, especially without no food or gear. I do believe Krakauer did a good job of describing and giving us the full picture of Chris's trip all the way until he died. I wouldn't recommend this book to anyone but, I would tell them about it so if they wanted to read it they could.
On a scale from one to five, with five being the best I give this story a four because of the details and discriptions Krakauer has given us on Chris McCandless

This book was about a young man, Chris McCanadless, going out into the wild with little money and clothing trying to survive. He did well for the first part of his journey, but when he went into Alaska he ran into a few problems.(like killing the moose, he took care of it like the South Dakotians took care of their meat. When in fact he should of cut it into thin pieces and let it dry.) This book was composed of little detail of McCandless's life with the author filling in the blanks.
I liked most of the book except the chapter when Krakauer discusses McCandless's family (it doesn't really talk about McCandless and his father.) The part I really liked was when he got a moose, because that was me. I would be thrilled and exhilerated most of the time.
I would recommend this book to anyone who likes to read about adventure. I would let someone read it that wants to go out into the wild and live off the land for as long as they want. Maybe it will tell them to be well prepared for nature.
