I thought that this book was awesome. It was really well written, and it gets you really excited abuot the last 2 books. You start asking things like, "What is going to happen to Hogwarts?", and "What else will Harry find out about his past." I also like how J. K. Rowling brought in Cho Chang and expanded her character. It's only natural that a 15 year old boy will start noticing girls. This book is excellent and keeps you on the edge of your seat through the whole book.

I was pretty physced when this book came out but after reading it, I was a tad disappointed. Not that the book was boring, but the last two books J.K Rowling's written can't really compare to the first three. The only thing that really caught me were the last few chapters when some doors to the secrets people have all been yearning for were opened. I just hope that the sixth and seventh book will be better than this. And I was wondering, isn't the story line getting too morbid for younger children to read?

B+ I read the Order of the Phoenix on our beach vacation in June. I have to be honest, I absolutely loved it. I thought it was much better than the Goblet of Fire, which was sloppily written added with a very unRowlingish type of writing (very little imagination and more of the dark, Gothic humor) and the plot was so thin you had to observe it under a microscope. However, I believe that because Ms. Rowling wrote her book in the span of three years (even though I dreaded the wait) I believe it helped in the long run. We see why Snape hates Harry and his family, why Harry spends his summers with the Durselys, we are swept to new places of the Wizarding world such as the Ministry of Magic and St. Mungo's, and we above all find ourselves lost in Ms. Rowlings imagination. However, I am still disappointed in her terrible prose, especially in her dialouge. (Too many adverbs, ellipses, and CAPITAL LETTERS that she uses when someone's angry.) Also, we all know it, she does as well, that her writing is not great even though she makes an admirable effort in this book to fix that problem. But I mean come on, "the owl shot through the window and landed on the table like a furry cannonball." What? That's absolutely terrible! And how many times do we have to read that Umbridge looks like a toad? She only stated it 100,000,000,000... times! I'm sorry to say, but I sometimes find myself editing the book as I read. I might as well take a red pen and slash through every 'Ron said superciliously, Hermione said matter-of-factly,' and make tally marks of how many times Ms. Rowling writes, 'Harry went to stretch his legs,' instead of 'Harry went to take a walk.' I'm sorry if I sounded cruel, but these things need to be changed. What are editors for? But still I should say that this was my favorite Harry book and JK Rowling is still one of my favorite authors. I only said these things so that she will understand her flaws and actually fix them before the next two books!

This book is the best book there is. All of Joannes books are exceptional, but this one beats them all. Harry learns more about his dad and friends and he finds out why Snape hated his dad and him so much. This is the most exceptional and J.K. Rowling needs to keep up her incredible work. I can not describe how wonderful this book is!!!!!

<< I'm going to bed before either of you come up with another crazy idea to get us killed, or worse expelled!! >>

I love the Harry Potter series! I can't wait for the sixth and the seventh book to come out!! The stories are so realisic! It's as if J.K.Rowling had been to Hogwarts before.

Yet again Jo Rowling has done a brilliant job! I have read many books and love reading, but in the last few years I have found it hard to find the time. The Harry Potter series as brought me back to reading, in fact all of the Harry Potter books are very difficult to put down. Do yourself a favour and have a read.

After waiting for this to come out, I discovered the wait is well worth it. J.K. Rowling is an excellent writer and has done wonderfully with this book. I enjoyed this book all the way through, there was a part that I didn't enjoy, very well written!

Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix was extremely hard to put down!! J.K. Rowling outdid herself in this book. It's by far my favorite and it was much more mature and teenage appropiate than the other 4. I LOVE HARRY POTTER!!!!!
