If things get too hyped they never live up to expectations.

This book suprised me because it's a 'tweener for me. I am waiting for another book and this is the one I picked up in the interm.

I laughed, I cried...and it's a different writing perspective than normal.

How many of us have heard, seen or read stories of teenagers that get killed??? But, when you get a perspective from the person who is killed it changes the perspective you read from.

Great read.

I was recommended this book by a friend. I rarely read fiction, choosing to allocate my precious reading time to biographies.

But I was drawn in by the back cover, opened the book and found myself in a different world - Susie's world. I found this book hauntingly beautiful, even now, writing about it I can feel the emotion bubbling up. Such a poignant subject and written with such love.

I felt considerable affection for Susie. I felt I could slip into her skin and feel her hurt and pain. This book brought tears to my eyes on three or four occasions. There were heart stopping moments too....

I did struggle however with one aspect, where Susie "visits" earth again somewhere near the end, but all in all this book affected me in a way no other book has done.

I'm 44, I've read a fair few books, but I think this is the one I shall remember more than any. Its an experience, pure and simple.

I loved this book and Seybold's writing style so much that I ordered Lucky, her memoir, before I'd even finished "Bones", and I think I read both in the span of 6 or 7 days. This book ran me through such a wide range of emotions I can't even begin to list them. I found it very well written and difficult to put down. I also really liked that she took a very different perspective--from that of the person in heaven. I still get goose bumps when I pass the book on the shelf at the stores.

This book is an excellent book. From the beggining of it keeps you intrested and it makes you want to read it all in one day. You can't put the book down because it's so intresting.

I loved the book Lovely bones. I liked it so much I started to read the other book by Alice Sebold "Lucky." I think she is an excellent writer. The book is sad, interesting and very compelling. It keeps you on the edge of your seat and makes you just want to keep reading. Great book! Text
Bam Bam

Hello this is Bam Bam im a female 14 years of age and i rate this book a 5 because it is a very exciting book. Its one of those books that you cant enjoy if your on a timed reading, Because once you start and pick up the book you dont want to put it down. When the father firsts figures or gets the feeling who killed his daughter, the way Alice Sebold explained it in details, literally gave me the chills. Lovely Bones is a Fantastic book. I finished it in 2 weeks.
