Castle of Water: A Novel
by Dane Huckelbridge
Castle of Water(12/10/2016)
Books are special to me when I feel like I'm in the story. The protaginists in this story are complex and well developed. I was angry, laughed out loud, and said awww.. several times while reading this book. I started it yesterday afternoon and forced myself to save the …more last chapters for this morning. I felt like I was on the island with Sophie and Barry. Hats off to Dana Huckelbridge for a very fine novel!(less)
This is the first book I've read by Daisy Goodwin and it won't be the last. The author brings Victoria to life. I would have enjoyed having tea with the Queen! I spent time disliking and liking the Queen Mom which I'm sure was the author's intent. The relationship Victoria …more enjoyed with the Prime Minister was most interesting. It was a great story to get lost in and I hope there is a sequel. I host book club in November which is too soon to pick this book. Darn!(less)
