Changes in the audio book market

Amazon completed its purchase of audiobook provider Audible on March 19. The same day OverDrive, one of the main suppliers of audio content to libraries, announced they were adding 20,000 DRM-free titles (that can be transferred freely between devices) and will soon be marketing direct-to-consumers through "digital centers" in some Borders stores and at Borders.com.
