Donald Trump Sues Warner Over TrumpNation

Feb 03 2006

Donald Trump has filed a defamation of character claim against Warner Books and author Timothy L O'Brien over TrumpNation published in late October. Trump's main grievance appears to be that in the book, and in an October article in the New York Times, O'Brien claimed that Trump is worth only $250 million versus the $2.7 billion figure shown in Forbes Magazine. Trump seeks to "expose irresponsible, malicious and false reporting" and is asking for $2.5 billion in compensatory damages and a further $2.5 billion for punitive damages.
