About this Book

Print Excerpt

"I'm allergic to fish, Edna," said Molly.

"Load a bleedin' codswallop," came Edna's gruff reply, as she wiped her nose on her overall sleeve, then dolloped out an extra helping.

"It is cod's wallop," Molly whispered to Rocky, looking down at her fish.

The idea that something special might happen to her tonight was now entirely gone. The evening was obviously going to be just like all the others, full of trouble.
