Did the friendship between Kate and Jane surprise you? Do you think you could be friends with someone that your significant other was with?

The friendship did not surprise me. They were the perfect combination, the home wife and the work wife.
I watched "Big Love" a series about a polygamous family and thought, wow, wouldn't it be nice to share some of the work with, some to talk to, a sister wife who understood. That is how I thought of Kate and Jane's relationship, sister wives. It makes so much sense to me.

The friendship did surprise me. I felt that Kate was right in knowing that her husband had moved on thinking she was never going to be well but once she was back I would think she would want to be the only one he loved. I was my husbands first wife. He has been married three times and the third worked! I like both of the women there is no reaso to not but would never want to be friends. So my answer is no I would not want to be friends with the other woman.

Yes and no. Because Kate has feelings of guilt because she "left" her family while she was ill and fear that she will relapse, I think she wanted to meet Jane initially to see what attracted David. I believe she was surprised that she liked Jane as much as she did. I don't know whether I could be friends with someone in a romantic relationship with my husband. I think not but you never know until you're in such a situation.

I wasn't at all surprised that Kate and Jane became friends. David thought they would have liked each other, even before the possibility that Kate might return from her illness.
