Dr. Dimitri B. Kececioglu, P.E., a Fullbright Scholar, a Fellow of the Society of Automotive Engineers, and a Fellow of the American Society for Quality, is considered to be the Deming of Reliability Engineering. He received his B.S.M.E. from Robert College, Istanbul, Turkey in 1942, and his M.S. in Industrial Engineering in 1948 and his Ph.D. in Engineering Mechanics in 1953, both from Purdue University, Lafayette, Indiana. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Aerospace and Mechanical Engineering, The University of Arizona; Professor-in-Charge of a unique ten-course Reliability Engineering program leading to the Master of Science degree in the Reliability Engineering Option; Director of the Annual Reliability Engineering and Management Institute; Director of the Annual Reliability Testing Institute.
