"Present Gary vs. "Future Gary" -- Will the "real" Gary Please Stand Up??
"...He can feel them coming… the dark thoughts… an army of them marching in his direction…"
The protagonist (Jerry) is fighting his impending Alzheimer's with every cell in his brain – before they turn on him, that is. This unreliable narrator is snarky, clever and made me laugh-out-loud. He is part MacGyver – and I also cringed at his murderous thoughts. I still couldn't tell if he acted on those villainous thoughts or not. When Jerry's friend – Hans – enters the picture, the story gains even more capriciousness. Plenty of people around Jerry get hurt and are hoodwinked by him. Are these the result of "Future Jerry" acting under the influence of his creeping mental deficiency? Jerry is a crafty storyteller and I was frequently chasing his red herrings. For me, this book was full of twists and turns and I merrily went along. If you are seeking a book that is clever, attention-grabbing and intensely enjoyable – this book is for you! I was able to be swept up in the story and loved the twisted ending – mysterious and creepy -- and lots of fun to read!

Trust No One by Paul Cleave
I loved this book! The story revolves around a crime author who is newly diagnosed with Alzheimers. He searches for answers to series of murders. The questions is - did he commit the crimes? This book is very suspenseful. I wanted to read it all in one sitting! There is clever plotting, complex pacing and lots of plot twists. It will keep you guessing until the last page. I would recommend to anyone who loves a good mystery. I will be recommending this book to my mystery book club.

Interesting twists and turns!
I had a tough time putting this book down. It certainly gave a frightening view of the devastating effects of Alzheimer's on the mind of the sufferer and those closes to them. I thought the plot was unique and exciting and to me, the ending was not predictable. My only problem with the book was really understanding the motive of the killer in the end...that was a little too vague for me. However, I highly recommend this read.

Trust No One
"WOW!" and that is all I can say about this amazing book; I just finished it. This is the first time I read Paul Cleave, and I could not put this book down. A strange thing about the story is that the main protagonist has early onset Alzheimer's, and has bad memory lapses often. You would think it's a poor choice by the author for him to tell the story, but it is brilliant.
If you read mysteries, then give this book a shot. The author's perspective is uncanny, and mystery lovers will absolutely embrace this book for its realism.

Who Dunit Indeed!
Paul Cleave has captured the essence of the current interest in Alzheimer's disease in this story about Jerry Grey (pen name Henry Cutter). The author manipulates the story so well, even splitting the personality of Jerry Grey with that of Henry Cutter, that the reader is never quite sure whether Jerry has committed all the crimes, right up to the end. A very well written book with a very well-told story that keeps you guessing ... and then it's over ... and you're still guessing....

One of my pick's for best reads of 2015!
TRUST NO ONE is outstanding suspense thriller! The author takes you into the mind, fears, and darkness of the main character, Jerry, as his life unravels and he begins questioning everything and everyone in his life. What is fact and what is fiction – more importantly how will he know or will he remember?
Henry Cutter is the pseudonym for bestselling author, Jerry Grey, a successful crime writer. Grey's twelve books have earned him much success. At the age of forty-nine Alzheimer's has taken over his life. Some days he is in control, and the next minute without any notice, he everything is blank - he has lost his car, his phone, his family, his thoughts, and his mind. He recalls murders - Is he a killer or simply recalling the events from his books.
Jerry begins writing in his journal, he discovers disturbing items - a gun and hidden items in a floorboard; are they mementos from victims? The illness has a cruel way of rewriting your past. More disturbing is there are new murders and Jerry is always close. Is he a serial killer, is he being set-up or is it all in his mind?
This is cleverly written crime mystery thriller that was almost impossible to put down. TRUST NO ONE should be one of the top reads of 2015!

Fitting a puzzzle together
Reading a very suspenseful novel and trying to fit all the puzzle pieces together is often frustrating, but put a character with Alzheimer's layered on top turns it into a 3-D puzzle, which keeps the reader guessing throughout. New clues to the killings appear just when you start to become a little complacent, shifting your allegiance as your mind becomes manipulated like Jerry's. This book was very challenging at first - until I began to think like I had dementia. This novel almost needs to be read twice - once to see how it ends and again to find the clues you perhaps didn't pick up on the first time. A thrilling murder mystery, which I'm still digesting and will recommend to my friends.
